Bio: |
As an English major at City College, a school that had a large population of non-native English speaking students, Chris worked as a writing tutor at CCNY’s Writing Center. He also tutored prospective adult students through City College’s Bridge to College Program. This experience thrust Chris into the field of education. Upon graduating, Chris spent about two years teaching ESL, both privately and in various schools, and English in two NYC high schools; most notably, he taught AP English at Murray Bergtraum High School in lower Manhattan. Before joining The Advising Center at Queens College, Chris worked at the Office of Academic Advisement at City College. Chris is thrilled to be part of The Advising Center Staff and to serve the students of Queens College. He enjoys being able to provide the instant results that go hand in hand with academic advisement. At Queens College, Chris is The Advising Center’s resident weekend advisor, although you can find him in KY 206 on most Wednesdays as well. Chris’ passion is music. He plays guitar, among other instruments. When he is not advising students, you can catch him playing his brand of rock n’ roll in various NYC clubs. Ask him: he’ll tell you all about it. |
