Tips for choosing a Major at QC

  • Browse the QC Undergraduate bulletin to see various major’s requirements and course descriptions. You can access the undergraduate bulletin online here.

  • Talk to an academic advisor, career counselors, faculty & friends in various majors.

  • Visit the academic department you are interested in & talk with the chair or faculty for that department.

  • Make an appointment with the Office of Career Development & Internships in Frese Hall 213. Meet with a career counselor, take career assessments & discover different careers that might interest you.

  • It is a good idea to declare a major sooner rather than later, certainly by your 60th credit (a must if receiving financial aid)

  • Pick up a major declaration form at the Registrar’s Office, have an advisor in the department sign the form & then return it to the Registrar (Jefferson Hall 100)
