Each semester during pre-registration, The Academic Advising Center hosts Freshman Planning Workshops during free hour to assist continuing freshmen students in reviewing Queens College’s general degree requirements and their individual degree programs.
Academic advisors discuss what to consider when selecting courses for the second semester as well as explain how to use the online registration system. Each student receives an individualized degree check sheet, and there is an opportunity to speak with an advisor individually at the conclusion of the workshop.
Participation in the workshop is worth one CLIQ point. Space is limited; students must sign up in advance to attend.
For more information and/or to sign up, contact the Academic Advising Center at (718) 997-5573 when classes are in session, or visit us in Kiely Hall Room 206.
