Leave of absence
Withdrawal from all courses after the third week of the semester

A leave of absence is a withdrawal from all courses in which the student is currently registered.

A leave of absence may be requested beginning with the fourth week and continuing through the fourteenth week of the fall and spring semesters. Students may request a leave of absence from the Counseling and Resource Center (Frese Hall, 1st Floor, 997-5420). Before permission may be given for a leave of absence, the student must have an exit interview with a professional member of the Counseling and Resource Center.

IMPORTANT: students who drop all their courses before the fourth week of a regular semester are considered inactive, do not take a leave of absence, and must apply for reentry if they wish to continue their enrollment in the following semester.

During Summer Sessions 1 and 2, a leave of absence is not allowed. Dropping of courses is considered a withdrawal.

Upon approval of a leave of absence, non-penalty grades of "W" will be entered in the student record for all courses in which the student is currently registered
