The completion of a major area of study is required for all Queens College students. Students wishing to major in Elementary Education must complete two majors. Students are advised to declare their major by the time they complete their 60th credit.

How to Choose a Major

Each semester The Academic Advising Center conducts workshops to help students with the decision-making process of choosing a Major. Choosing a major is a requirement for graduation, and one of the most important decisions in your life. The workshops will introduce you to a 10-step process that, if successfully completed, will provide information to help you select the Major(s) and possible careers that are right for you.
