Master of Science Childhood Education
WITH A SPECIALIZATION IN SCIENCE
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS (39 credits)
We are delighted that you have chosen to specialize in science. This graduate specialty is designed for early, elementary and middle school teachers. Courses in the science specialty are designed to extend your body of knowledge in science. These courses will not only expand your knowledge in life, physical and environmental science they will also include discussions about science as a way of knowing, major theories and concepts of how people learn science, and strategies for how to teach science.
Soon after you chose your specialization you should meet with an advisor to discuss your plan of study. We are also interested in hearing about your short and long-term career goals.
