Ethics Goals

The Faculty of the School Will:

• provide opportunities for students to participate in a climate that fosters a reflective, critical and analytical approach to problem solving while stressing innovative and ethical responses to society's changing information needs. 

The Students Will Be Expected To:

• develop an open-minded attitude towards the change process and exercise professional judgment as to its feasibility and desirability.
• understand the ethical issues related to the provision of information.
• apply ethical standards in their interactions with clients, colleagues, administrators and support personnel within the library/information center.
• select appropriate strategies to fulfill the needs of their clientele, and to evaluate the outcomes.
