Samuel Heilman is Harold Proshansky Professor
of Jewish Studies
and Sociology on the faculty of Queens College and the Graduate
Center of the City of New York. He has also been Scheinburn Visiting
Professor at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Visiting Professor
Social Anthropology at Tel Aviv University and a Fulbright visiting
professor at the Universities of New South Wales and Melbourne.
Professor Heilman is a renowned lecturer and author. He wrote
numerous books, articles and reviews.
