Full Text

Not all databases include the full text of articles. Sometimes, we have the full text online, but it is not located in the database you are searching. To link citations with the full text, the library uses a tool called Find It Find it icon.

If the full text is not included in the citation, look for the Find It button. When you click on it, a window will pop up, giving you several options.

Full text online link and print copy link

If the article is available online, there will be a link to it. Sometimes we have it from several sources, so there will be several links.

If the journal is available in print in CUNY, there will be a link to the CUNY Catalog. From there, you will have to check to see whether Queens College has the volume and issue that you want.

If we do not have a copy of the article, there will be a link to request the item via Interlibrary Loan. This is a service whereby we can obtain, at no cost to you, a copy of the article from another library.

A few databases do not support Find It. If you are using one of those, you will have to find the citation using the method described in the Specific Article Search tutorial.
