PHOTOCOPYING & PRINTING
Photocopy and network laser printing services in Rosenthal Library and the Music Library are run by Continental Copy Products of Brooklyn NY. A Continental Copy service representative/technician is responsible for maintaining the equipment and responding to user questions and problems during specific posted office hours. Most photocopiers, all microform photocopiers, and the laser printers require the purchase of a Vendacard from one of the four Vendacard dispensers located in the Rosenthal and Music Libraries. The color copier in the Art Library (Rosenthal Level 6) is coin operated as are four photocopy machines on Levels 1, 2, and 3 and one machine in the Music Library.
Equipment
- ALL Photocopiers are accessible to those in wheelchairs.
- 11 Photocopiers are located on Rosenthal Library Levels 1, 2, 3, and 6, and two copiers are located in the Music Library.
- 10 Photocopiers have enlargement and reduction capability and are located on Levels 1 and 3 in Rosenthal.
- 2 Photocopiers in the Music Library can make oversize (11" x 17") copies.
- 10 Microform reader/printers are available in the Media Center on Rosenthal Level 1.
- 1 Microform reader/printer is available in the Music Library.
- 2 Vendacard dispensers are located on Rosenthal Levels 1 and 3.
- 1 Vendacard dispenser is located in the Music Library.
- 3 Laser print stations are located on Rosenthal Levels 1, 2, 3.
- 1 Laser print station is located in the Music Library.
- 4 Coin operated machines are located in Rosenthal Library Levels 3, 2, and 1.
- 1 coin operated machine is available in the Music Library.
- 1 Color copier is located in the Art Library, Rosenthal Level 6.
Charges
- Photocopies from paper are 10¢/page.
- Laser printing is 10¢/page.
- Color photocopies are 50¢/page.
- 11" x 17" copies are 10¢/page.
- Photocopies from microfilm or microfiche are 20¢/page.
A Vendacard (debit card) may be purchased by inserting $1 into one of the three dispensing machines. Your first Vendacard cost is 30¢. A card will be returned with 70¢ credit. You may increase the credit on the card in multiples of $1, $5, $10, and $20 at any time without needing to purchase another Vendacard.
Change is not given by the dispenser. The Library Circulation Desk has a limited amount of change available. Please note that Vendacards purchased at Queens College Library are not interchangable with Vendacards dispensed at other libraries.
