The Department ceremony will be held in the Student Union Ballroom (4th floor) directly following the campus-wide commencement ceremony on May 31st, 2012. All grads are welcome, and are encouraged to bring family/friends; tickets are not required.
Summer and Fall 2012 Registration dates are now listed on students' CUNYFirst accounts. Registration for Psychology classes is tentatively scheduled to start on April 23rd (for Summer) and April 30th (for Fall). Dates and Times were assigned by the Registrar based on your class standing. Students are strongly advised to complete the preregistration checklist as soon as possible to ensure that you have met all the requirements for preregistration.
Ms. Olivia Munk, a Bronx High School of Science student who spent the previous two summers (and many weeknights and weekends) working in Dr. Brumberg's laboratory has been selected as an Intel SemiFinalist. Her project "Environment Dependent Dendritic Alterations" demonstrated how an animal's sensory experience can impact the structure of the cerebral cortex and that environmental enrichment can work to ameliorate some effects of early sensory deprivation.
