Announcing the 7th Annual Neuropsychology Research Day
September 11, 2009, 9:00-4:30
Keynote address: 1:30
Rosenthal Auditorium, ground floor of Rosenthal Library
See full schedule here.

The City University of New York Neuropsychology PhD sub-program hosts an annual conference each fall on the campus of Queens College, which provides a forum for students and faculty in the program to present their latest and most exciting research. The conference is highlighted by the keynote speaker which in the past has included two members of the National Academy of Sciences. This year’s speaker is Dr. Rachel Yehuda, Professor of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Director of the Traumatic Stress Studies Division at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Bronx Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Her research focuses on posttraumatic stress and she has authored more than 150 articles and edited several books on this topic. Dr. Yehuda served as a delegate for the White House Conference on Mental Health in 1999 and was recognized in the Congressional Record for her work with Holocaust survivors. She is one of four Executive Directors on the New York Times Consortium for Trauma Treatment, founded in response to the World Trade Center Disaster in New York. Dr. Yehuda received her Ph.D. in Psychology and Neurochemistry and her M.S. in Biological Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and completed her postdoctoral training in Biological Psychiatry in the Psychiatry Department at Yale Medical School. Her talk will be delivered at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 11th in the Rosenthal Library Auditorium at Queens College.

Neuropsychology Research Day was founded by Dr. Joshua C. Brumberg, Head of the Neuropsychology Subprogram, as a forum where graduate students in the sub-program could make oral presentations of their research, fostering collaborations and increasing awareness of the high caliber neuroscience research that is conducted throughout CUNY. The one day meeting annually attracts over 100 researchers (faculty, graduate and undergraduate students) from the six different CUNY campuses associated with the Neuropsychology PhD sub-program and across Psychology subprograms. All are welcome to attend.
