Commencement Reminder

The Psychology Graduation Ceremony will be held on the 4th floor of the Student Union Building on May 29. The ceremony begins 30 minutes after the close of the campus-wide graduation and will end at approximately 12:30. Light refreshments will be served.

The celebration includes the individual recogntion of all graduating Psychology majors and the presentation of Psychology Honors and Awards. Students receiving honors are listed here. We are pleased to present awards to the following students:

2 Open Positions in Psychology:

1. Behavior Evaluator

Summary: A Behavior Evaluator is responsible for assessment of consumers, identification of appropriate goals, and development of behavior treatment plans for consumers in the After School Programs and In-Home Program.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements:
· Conduct skills assessments for consumer.
· Identify goals socially appropriate to client’s age.
· Develop individualized teaching procedures for each consumer.
· Supervise the implementation of teaching procedures and behavior treatment plans.
· Monitor and provide revisions, when necessary, to program goals and behavior treatment plans.
· Provide feedback and training for Group Leaders and Staff Trainers.
· Maintain regular contact with parents; make at least one in-home visit per month.
· Participate in the presentation of QSAC classroom lectures.
· Provide hands-on training for staff in the After-School Programs and in the In-Home Program.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree and/or substantial related experience. SALARY $30K-$40K
· Master’s Degree and/or substantial related experience. SALARY $40k - $50K

2. After School Program Therapy Assistant

Summary: A direct care worker with providing care and instruction for students in daily living skills which may include personal hygiene and grooming, banking/budgeting, and socialization according to a behavior treatment plan. Position requires upkeep of written records which reflect student progress.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements:
· MUST BE AVAILABLE 245-545 MON-FRI
· MUST ALSO COMPLETE 13 TRAININGS IN ADDITION TO REGULAR WORK HOURS
· Ensure health, safety & welfare of consumers.
· Complete required program documentation
· Implement and adhere to established treatment plans
· Attendance and punctuality is essential
· Maintain student/consumer/family confidentiality
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Minimum Qualifications:
· Experience working with MR/DD populations or pursuing related degree
· Ability to run
· Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb items
· Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check
· Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served
· Commitment to company values and adherence to policies

ALL TRAININGS AND AFTER SCHOOL HOURS ARE AT A RATE OF $9.50 PER HOUR
