Mike Sporton led a 15 hit attack with three hits, including a home run, and three RBI's in a 12-10 Knights' loss to New Haven on Sunday in Flushing. The loss brings an end to QC's 2008 season.
UNH led most of the way, scoring six times in the first and four times in the fourth to open up a 10-4 lead. The Knights chipped away at that lead and eventaully knotted the game at 10 with three in the seventh. A bases loaded walk to Jason Espinal scored Justin McKay with the first run of the inning and Jamie Quinn followed with a two run single that plated Sean Sciretta and Luis Rojas to even the score. However, the deadlock was short lived as UNH scored twice in the top of the eighth to go up for good, 12-10.
Quinn finished the day with three hits while McKay had two hits and two RBI's in the loss for QC.

Senior shortstop Maurice Santana has been named third team all-East Coast Conference in a vote conducted by the conference. This is the second consecutive season in which he has been named an all-star, having been named to the all-N.Y.C.A.C. first team in 2006.
Maurice led the Knights with a .351 batting average, 28 runs scored and nine doubles. He also hit three homers and drove in 18 runs and hit .327 in 24 conference games in 2007.

The 2005 season came to an end on Friday in Flushing as the Knights dropped both ends of a doubleheader to New Haven, 5-3 and 10-3.
Luca Paraschiviou went four for four with a home run and John Aluska had four hits in QC's 5-3 game one loss. Rich Yanatos had two hits in four at bats with an RBI and two runs scored in the Knights' 10-3 game two loss. Jeff Villacres gave up seven hits and three earned runs in seven innings of relief work in the nightcap.
