Poor shooting doomed sixth seeded Queens College in a 54-38 loss at number three seed C.W. Post in the East Coast Conference quarterfinals on Wednesday evening. The Lady Knights connected on only 13 of 48 attempts from the field (27%) and nine of 27 from the charity strip (41%) as they saw their 2007-2008 season end with 14 wins and 14 losses.

Neither team exactly lit it up early with both teams splitting 10 points while making only four of 29 attempts in the contest's first nine minutes. A basket from Jasmine Moore with 10:33 left in the half started a 13-0 Post run which concluded six minutes later with two free throws from Emily Hall that gave her team an 18-5 lead. The Lady Knights finished the half with just 13 points on five for 21 shooting.

A three pointer from Jessica Sanchez and a basket by Rachel Primm in the opening 70 seconds of half number two pulled QC to within five, 23-18. Minutes later, Post started on an 11-2 run that opened up an insurmountable 43-26 lead with 4:26 remaining.

Sanchez and Primm led the Lady Knights with 11 and 10 points respectively.
