The Lady Knights were edged at William Paterson, 123-115, despite two wins apiece by Val Varpakhovic and Mona Lisa Ribiero. Varpakhovic won the 1000 free in 11:42.90 and the 500 free in 5:42.33 while Ribiero bested the field in the 200 free (2:08.42) and the 200 breastroke (2:38.13).

Eight Lady Knights earn All-Conference Honors
Senior Maria Dellagiovanna earned all-Conference honors and broke four school records for Queens at the Metropolitan Swimming Championships held at Rutgers University on February 16th through the 18th. Michelle Houseman was also named all-Conference in one meter diving while six of her teammates made Honorable Mention all-Conference.
Dellagiovanna broke records in the 100 free (54.57), the 200 free (1:59.05), the 100 back (1:02.25) and the 200 back (2:15.55). She placed fifth out of 60 swimmers in the 200 free, 13th out of 103 in the 50 free and 10th out of 39 in the 200 back. Houseman finished seveth in the one meter diving competition.
Rachel Walter, Jessie Yang, Rory and Shannon Church, Val Varpakhovich, Melissa Regan and Carla Cruz were the Lady Knights swimmers who received recognition in the Honorable Mention all-Conference category. Varpakhovich was a 13th place finisher in the 1650 free and was 22nd in the 200 IM. Other QC swimmers to make the finals were Shannon Church (24th in the 100 fly), Frida Akbasheva (22nd in the 200 fly) and Jessie Yang (21st in the 400 IM).
