BACHELOR OF ARTS IN BIOLOGY-EDUCATION WITH SEYS MINOR
The following information is provided by the
Department of Biology
of Queens College.
If you are interested in entering the Biology-Secondary Education Program,
you must consult with the Biology-Education Advisor
(Dr. Jon Sperling) and file an approved concentration
plan with the Biology department.
REQUIRED BIOLOGY CORE
(14 cr.)*
Bio 107 General Biology: Life Forms and Ecosystems (4 cr.)
Bio 108 General Biology: Physiology and Cell Biology (4 cr.)
Bio 285 Principles of Genetics (3 cr.)
Bio 286 Principles of Cell Biology (3 cr.)
BIOLOGY ELECTIVES
(16 cr. total, of which at least 2 must be
300-level courses and 3 must be laboratory courses)*. It is recommended that
these be chosen so that one or more courses are taken in each of the
following 4 categories:
