ABOUT THE CLIQ PROGRAM

College Life Introduction at Queens (CLIQ) is an innovative program (developed by the Office of Student Retention Programs) that introduces new students to life outside the classroom.  CLIQ fosters  intellectual, social and personal growth by having students  participate in various campus events.

Because involvement in activities is an indispensable aspect of college life, new students are expected to attend six out of classroom events such as the Introduction to College Life program, career/major forums, library tours, etc.   CLIQ events are available throughout the day, evening and weekend.

The campus Knight News and the CLIQ Events Calendar will list upcoming CLIQ activities.

<>Students must obtain 6 CLIQ stamps on their CLIQ card by the time they have attempted 24 credits. Once you return your completed card to the office, you will receive your CLIQ certificate after the end of that semester.

Keep your CLIQ card in a safe place.  If you loose the card, you will be required to start over again.  Your card is the only record of the number of CLIQ events you have attended.

HOW DO I GET MY PROGRAM CLIQ CERTIFIED?

A CLIQ event grid sheet must be completed and dropped off in Frese Hall, First Floor or faxed (718) 997-5508.  The information will be reviewed.  If it meets the CLIQ guidelines it will be certified.  You will receive notification within a few days of submission as to whether or not the program was accepted.

If they program is accepted, a representative of the sponsoring organization must pick up a CLIQ stamp from the office on the day of the event and return it to the office directly after the event has ended.  The organization sponsoring the event is responsible for stamping all CLIQ cards (at the end of the program only).
