ITALICS, hosted by Anthony J. Tamburri, Dean of the Calandra Institute, brings the best of the Italian-American community to your home each month on CUNY-TV, TW Ch.75 and RCN, Ch.77 in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and The Bronx.
ITALICS premieres the last Wednesday of every month at 10:00 AM, 3:00 PM, 11:00 PM. ITALICS will be rebroadcast on the first Saturday of every month at 8:00 PM and the first Sunday at 10:00 AM on CUNY-TV, Ch.75 and RCN, Ch.77 in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and The Bronx; and subsequently on demand at cuny.tv/show/italics.

The Italian Language Inter-Cultural Alliance presents Flight to the Future Through Music and Art at their 6th Annual Cultural Event. Cav. Vincenzo Marra and ILICA honor the legacy of Frank D. Stella and present the namesake award to Dean Anthony Tamburri. At the Calandra Institute, Queens College signs an agreement with Universita di Stranieri di Perugia to greatly expand the current cultural exchange program. CUNY Chancellor Matthew Goldstein visits the Calandra Institute. Bordighera Press announces their 2010 Poetry Prize winner.

Celebrations honor Pietro Cesare Alberti and the 375th anniversary of his arrival to New Amsterdam on June 2nd, 1635, becoming the first Italian immigrant to this part of the New World.
The 29th annual New York Conference of Italian American State Legislators in Albany, NY. Art exhibition "Piccole Belle Cose: Small Beautiful Things" at the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum on Staten Island. Italics introduces you to the newly-formed Amore Opera Company, which has arisen from the ashes of the late beloved Amato Opera Company.
Public rally held at Our Lady of Loreto Church in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The rally was sponsored by the Committee to Save Our Lady of Loreto Church to save the historic church from the current plans for its demolition and redevelopment.
