Flavio Rizzo
Flavio Rizzo was born in Rome where he received an Italian Laurea in Literature at Rome University, specialization in Cinema Studies. He is now an ABD in Comparative Literature at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
His interests are: Italian Literature, 20th Century American writing, Italian American studies, Cinema Studies, Asian Studies.
He is also a filmmaker; he won an award at the Venice Film Festival with a documentary on Italian filmmaker/writer Pier Paolo Pasolini. He wrote and directed several projects of fiction and non-fiction; the last one is a documentary on an orphanage in Bolivia.
