Multimedia
Media includes many types of materials, including DVDs, video tapes, sound recordings, audio tapes, print images, and digital resources.
At the Rosenthal Library, you can find DVDs, video tapes, CD-ROMs, microforms, and audio tapes in the Multimedia Commons on Level 1.
There is also viewing equipment on this floor. All material is accessible through the CUNY Catalog
Use the Guided Search in the CUNY Catalog to search for media. From the Record Type or Format Type drop-down menu, choose the type of item that you want.
The Art Library maintains an extensive picture collection organized by medium, country and century. Rosenthal Library also subscribes to ARTstor, a visual image database, which is accessible from the Databases page on our Library homepage.
The Music Library, located in the Aaron Copland School of Music, contains over 20,000 sound recordings as well as videocassettes and DVDs.
Some fields rely more heavily on multimedia resources than others; Art, Theatre and Music are among them.
