Amy Herzog, Assistant Professor
Received her B.A. in film production and gender studies from Bard College , and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the Program in Visual and Cultural Studies at the University of Rochester . Before coming to Queens , she worked at several film, media, and arts institutions in New York, most recently assisting with the Andy Warhol Film Project at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Her research interests include popular music, film, gender studies, and philosophy. She is currently working on a study of musical films, exploring questions of history, politics, and embodiment. Her work has been published in the journal American Music and will appear in a forthcoming volume on music videos to be published by Duke University Press. Professor Herzog is Faculty advisor for the student radio station, WQMC:WQMC Queens College Radio
