Kimberly Larkin - Program Director

Kimberly Larkin holds a MA in Vocal Performance: Concentration in Musical Theatre from NYU and a BA in Music Education from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where she studied both voice and piano. Ms. Larkin is on the faculty of the Long Island High School for the Arts where she teaches voice in the Musical Theatre Department. She directs a music program she created at St. Andrew Avellino School in Flushing, Queens. She is currently studying voice with renowned Broadway actress/singer Judith Blazer and is a board member of Ms. Blazer's theater company, The Artist's Crossing. Ms. Larkin's voice students have won numerous competitions, performed lead roles in many local productions and have been accepted to the top college programs in musical theater including Boston Conservatory, Marymount, Emerson, UArts and NYU. In October of 2006 Ms. Larkin founded a theater company, I.M.P.A.C.T. Theatre Group, for young artists ages 11-18. The company performed at The Wings Theatre and Player's Theatre in NYC and raised over $3,000 for children's charities. Her recent NYC performance credits include: Antigone with Storm Theatre/Off-Broadway, Bare: A Pop Opera (Claire Simmonds) at the York Theater, Molly Bloom-Lately (Miss Bunny) featured in the New York Children's Theatre Festival. She has done background/extra work on the television shows SMASH, Lipstick Jungle, 30 Rock, Gossip Girl and the feature film Doubt and for two commercials for Nike and Guinness. This past year she also played the featured part of the "Mom" in a music video for the up and coming rock band: Steel Phantoms. She is currently performing in the role of Sarah Lincoln in the Off-Broadway musical Honestly Abe at the Actor's Temple Theatre in NYC. She is also Music Director for the production.

Carole Ashley - Choreographer

Carole Ashley is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts at CAP21, with a BFA in Drama. After graduating, Carole went on to play the role of Gracie in Off-Broadway's Angelina Ballerina and Angelina Ballerina, a Very Merry Holiday Musical, as well as the title role in Velma Gratch and the Way Cool Butterfly at The Millbrook Playhouse, in PA. Most recently she played Lucy in NCTC's production of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, performing at StageOne at the Fairfield Theatre Co. in CT. Other credits include: Punk Rock Chick in Chautauqua! at The Public Theatre (Off-Broadway), Singing at Joe's Pub, Dance Captain/Ensemble in All Shook Up, The Nurse in Hello Again, and Kate/Queenie/Nadine Swing & Dance Captain in LaChiusa's The Wild Party. Carole was last a member of the staff at CPSM-MTSW in 2006 and studied voice with Kimberly Larkin while attending Long Island High School for the Arts.

Karen Dryer - Accompanist

Karen Dryer is a pianist, singer/songwriter and musical director. Karen has served as musical director or assistant musical director on 5 off Broadway shows including Power Balladz where she herself was a "rock star" and assistant musical director on 3 Broadway national tours, including Annie, Jesus Christ Superstar, and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Currently, Karen is music directing a one-woman show called Italian Bred at St. Lukes Theater. Karen also is a vocal coach at NYU and Liz Caplan Vocal Studios.
