Biographical Information:
Keith Kreindler enjoys living the hectic life of a New York area freelancer and teacher. He performs on bassoon with numerous orchestras, chamber groups, opera companies, and contemporary music ensembles, and is a founding member of TABOR, an ensemble whose members and collaborators strive to create sonorities and experiences far beyond what traditional wind quintets typically offer. In the recent past, Keith, as one of the 'TABORs,' was a featured performer the National Computer Music Conference, premiered two works at the Darmstadt Institute, and enjoyed successful performances at the Stone and the Cornelia Street Café.
Also a busy saxophonist, Keith has occupied the baritone chair with the French American Saxophone Quartet, and his woodwind doubling has brought him to the pits of countless musicals. He currently is on the faculty of the Aaron Copland School of Music, Rockland Conservatory of Music, and the Concordia Conservatory of Music and Art. Keith received his MM from the Mannes College of Music and his BM from the Aaron Copland School of Music; he also holds a BA in art from Binghamton University and moonlights as a freelance graphic designer.
