Fang Luo is an Associate Professor of piano at the China Conservatory in Beijing. Born in Wuhan, China, Ms. Luo began her piano studies at the age of six. She made her official debut to the general acclaim of the press at nine. At the age of eleven, she was selected by the Middle School Attached to the Central Conservatory in Beijing where she studied under the studios of Shao, Dan and Zhao, Pingguo. After she moved to New York, she studied with Morey Ritt and Arkady Aronov. She holds Bachelor of Music degree from Queens College, CUNY and Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music. Additional studies were with George Pappastavorro and Ledia Dvorgetz in US. Fang Luo is the winner of Anna Bernstein Memorial Award of 1996, she has appeared in concerts in US and China, solo recitals, as well as a soloist in chamber music and orchestra events. Ms. Luo has been adjudicator in national competitions and Chinese Musicians Association Piano Exams. Her students are winners of The 14th Hong Kong-Asian Piano Open Competition Youth Category II and The 20th Australian International Music Festival, Sydney 2009. Ms. Luo is a cofounder and Secretary General of Goodway National Piano Competition, Hangzhou 2007 in China. Since 2008, she has been faculty at Summit Music Festival, New York. She has been teaching as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Queens since 2010.
