Master of Music in Jazz Studies

Degree Requirements for the Master of Music in Jazz Studies (MM)
These requirements are in addition to the general requirements for Master’s degrees, listed elsewhere in this Bulletin.
- A student majors in either jazz performance or jazz composition.
- Students complete 36 credits and perform a public recital. The degree is designed to be completed in three semesters of full-time enrollment. Part-time enrollment is also available.
- Students must pass competency tests in improvisation, sight reading, style recognition, and other musical skills.
