Audition Requirements
Undergraduate BA and Music Education Program
Two contrasting pieces, different styles selected from repertoire that represents a minimum NYSSMA level 5 (or the equivalent). NYSSMA level 5 repertoire can be identified by clicking the following link.
Select "Queens College" from the library list and type NYSSMA 5 and the name of your instrument in the "Search for" box. You will get a list of pieces that are at that level.
For Percussion Applicants Only:
Snare drum solo work and rudiments
A solo on a mallet instrument (usually Marimba) plus all scales
A Timpani solo and tuning exercises
