Psychology 392: Special Problems, Neurobiology of Disease

The course will use primary literature and presentation of clinical cases to understand how the nervous system is degraded under acute disease conditions such as stroke and chronic conditions such Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Students will gain a further knowledge of how the brain functioning is disrupted under pathological conditions. This course is ideal for students considering careers in neuroscience research and/or medicine.
