How old must my child be? Is my child eligible?

Queens College student-parents may register their toilet-trained children who
are between the ages of thirty months (2.6 years of aged) and six years.

Children between 5 and 10 years of age are eligible for our school-aged program.

A copy of the child's birth certificate and immunization record must
    be submitted at registration.

The Center admits students regardless of race, creed, national or
ethnic origin, and does not discriminate in the administration of its
    policies or programs.

How do I register my child?

Call or stop by the Child Development Center and asked to be placed on our mailing list.
Some information pertinent to registration will be taken.  You will receive registration
forms prior to the upcoming semester.

Registration Information/Procedures

Student-parents register their children according to their class schedule, with priority given to current Center parents.  Each child is scheduled on a consistent basis for the entire semester since the Center does not provide drop-in or babysitting services.  Two sessions are offered each day, except Friday:  a day session from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and an evening session from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Enrollment is available in blocks of time.  A child may be registered in the day session for four, six, or eight hours per day; however, each child must be registered for a minimum of four hours daily and eight hours weekly.  Children will be scheduled to arrived at either 8 a.m., 10 a.m, 12 noon, or 2 p.m.  (New children will not be registered for a 12 noon arrival.  No child will be registered for more than eight hours per day.)

Evening session arrivals are scheduled on an hourly basis beginning at 4 p.m., with a minimum requirement of two hours daily and four hours weekly.  The evening rates will apply to any child scheduled to arrive at 4 p.m. or later.  A registration for new applicants is scheduled prior to each semester.  Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, and registration in any time period will close when all available spaces are filled.  At the time of registration, a $25 non-refundable fee must be paid in addition to a deposit equal to one week of your child's tuition. (There is a $15 non-refundable registration fee for Summer Sessions I and II).
