QUEENS CONSORTIUM ON LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH

Through the Spring of 2005, I directed the Queens LOTE Consortium (LOTE = Languages Other Than English), a cross-campus collaborative body consisting of the language departments in the four CUNY campuses in the borough of Queens: Queens College, York College, LaGuardia Community College and Queensborough Community College.  For links to those departments, and for all other Consortium-related information, please see the Queens LOTE Web, http://qcpages.qc.edu/LOTE/.

One of the primary objectives for the Consortium is to promote the use of instructional technology in the affiliated departments.  I am presently experimenting with ways in which instructional technology (both in-class and asynchronous) can enhance teaching and learning in higher education, especially in the teaching/learning of linguistics and languages.
