PHILOSOPHY DATABASE INSTRUCTIONS
Instructions for searching Library databases are provided as PowerPoint presentations. Presentations can be viewed online through a web browser, or printed out for easier use when searching a database. They are not interactive.
Many databases are interdisciplinary and can be used for research in more than one subject. So, one database may be listed both in Sociology and Urban Studies, with different search examples for each, but the database functions are the same in each case.
Some instructions are intended for a Library session for a particular course, but can be used by anyone interested in the topic. Use the instructions as an example of how a database works, then substitute your own topic and search terms to get the result you need.
Remember, if you learn how to operate one database, you can use the same skills to operate any database.
